Join your friends and neighbors downtown at the Courthouse to the annual lighting of the community trees. Visit with Santa, sign up to win Downtown Dollars. Sing Christmas Carols with the Emerald City Jewel Singers. Enjoy hot chocolate and cookies. This year there are more lights in more trees, compliments of Christmas Decor.
TOYS FOR TOTS: Home Builders Association of Steamboat will be kicking off the Toys for Tots (and Teens) drive for 2011. All of the toys contributed will be distributed in Steamboat the week before Christmas at the Toys for Tots Toy Store (location to be determined. Bring a new unwrapped toy to help the cause or give a donation. Don’t forget that teens (12-18 years) like presents too.
PING PONG BALL DROP: This is a huge hit with the crowd. The merchants in downtown have written in-store specials on ping pong balls. We are going to drop the balls from the top of the ladder on the big fire truck onto the crowd.
A wonderful traditional way to kick off the holiday season with your family.
