At 3:30 p.m., we’ll load vans at the Steamboat Springs Community Center. On the ride to the fairgrounds in Hayden, tour guides will share the history and background of local agriculture and scenery on the drive
Once at the fairgrounds, at approximately 4:00 p.m., 4-H and FFA youth will give a tour of the various animal barns and talk about their experience raising livestock for the Fair. We’ll see rabbits, poultry, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, cows and more.
The tour will then move on to the Exhibition Hall, where you’ll see a wide range of arts, crafts, baked goods, homemade food, vegetables, flowers and so much more. CSU Extension superintendents and volunteers will lead the tour of the Exhibition Hall and will talk about the secrets to gardening and producing food in Routt County.
