TREAD OF PIONEERS MUSEUM’S WINTER FILM SERIES AT THE CHIEF THEATER

Back by popular demand, the Tread of Pioneers Museum’s Winter Films Series returns to the historic Chief Theater select dates December through March at 6pm. Everyone’s invited to come out of the cold and into the warm and cozy Chief Theater to see all the fascinating films we have in store for you.
The film series is a partnership and outreach program between the Tread of Pioneers Museum and the Chief Theater that brings history, art, and entertainment under one roof. All events are approximately one hour total.
Feb 13 – “Coming to Light: Edward S. Curtis & the North American Indians”
The award-winning film, “Coming to Light,” by Anne Makepeace, is back in this Winter Film Series by popular demand. The film tells the dramatic story of Edward S. Curtis, one of the most famous photographers of the early 1900s, who risked everything to document traditional American Indian life before it disappeared. Native descendants of Curtis’ subjects discuss the meaning of the images.
