Main Street Steamboat loves the sounds of music. They often fill the night air and provide the evening’s soundtrack as you stroll downtown. Steamboat clubs, bars and venues to appeal to all our audiences and music lovers. Music can be heard from the patios of many of our Main Street Steamboat restaurants. Schmiggity’s– Our downtown newest addition, Schmiggity’s is the place to meet your friends for a night of great music any night of the year. Their music schedule is jam-packed with both traveling and local bands. They offer a great happy hour but make sure to stick around for afterward to join the crowd for a dance.
Summer Free Concert Series at Howelsen Hill– Located in the heart of downtown, the open green grass field serves as a dance floor for FREE concerts throughout the summer. Hosted by the Steamboat Springs Free Summer Concert Series, artists of varying genres are brought in, year after year, to put on a show at our infamous outdoor venue.
Yampa River Botanic Park– There cannot be a better setting than “the Green” for small musical performances. Every Thursday at 12:15 pm from the last week of June through the middle of August, you will find the Music on the Green performances. Ranging from jazz to string quartets to western music, you are sure to enjoy taking in the sounds while relaxing amongst the flowers of the park.
Chief Theater- The Chief served as the earliest venue in Steamboat beginning in the 1920’s and has been remodeled four times since then. The theater, turned non-profit performing art center, offers various events throughout the year for all Steamboat residents and guests. They routinely host a local songwriter series, as well as film tours and art performances.
