The Old Town Neighborhood is a one of a kind, located in the heart of downtown Steamboat. Most homes in this area were built in the early 1900’s and have seen only minor changes to their original structure, leaving behind a storybook of Steamboat’s past. The streets are lined with quirky bungalows and cottages that all have their own defining features that set them apart from their neighbors. There are areas where newer homes have been built that are simply breathtaking, as well as the addition of a few modern townhomes. You know what they say, “it is all about location” and the convenience of being centrally located to downtown cannot be beat.
Most houses in this area are single-family homes that provide a great location to nearby parks and schools. You will find neighbors chatting while dropping their children off at Soda Creek Elementary (located within the neighborhood) or while shoveling their sidewalks. All amenities that may be needed are within walking distance and a bus stop to the ski mountain is only be a couple blocks away in any direction. The residents of this area enjoy the proximity to Howelsen Hill and the library, as well as access to the river.
