Sew What was started as a fabric store in 1980 by Maggie Bentz and her business partner. And while the focus changed, the same small-business mentality still exists here in our world of thread, buttons, and bobbins.
In March of 2016, Sew What employees, Melissa Dow, purchased the business from Maggie and moved to a location 4 doors down the hallway in the same building on Lincoln Ave.
In January of 2017, economist Nadiia Pinchuk from Ukraine, purchased the business. Nadiia continues the business of alterations and clothing repairs. In addition Nadiia has a passion for creating home decor items. Come visit with her about your creative home decor sewing needs.
Sew What’s transition to a larger space has allowed for some cool new additions we think you’ll be very excited about. We can handle more heavy duty gear, a larger array of formalwear and wedding dresses, as well as being a drop-off spot for a new cobbler doing work out of Oak Creek! Stop by, see our new space and say hello!
